INSPECTING, CHARGING AND REPLACING THE BATTERY
The battery is the component allowing the machine's electrical system to operate. Its poor operation may
cause problems both during machine start-up and use. It is housed in the front compartment shown in the
figure.
Inspection
Normal battery inspections can be carried out by removing the
closing cover of the battery compartment located on the front
part of the machine. Loosen the four screws to open it.
It is good practice to carry out a periodic inspection (every 50
hours) to verify its external conditions.
Attention!
In case of charging or replacement or any other
operation requiring removal of the contact terminals from the
battery and its disconnection, ALWAYS wait at least 1 minute
after turning the machine off. This period is necessary for the
control unit to complete its control cycle after machine shut-
down.
Attention!
In case of charging or replacement or any other
operation requiring removal of the battery from its housing,
consider that the sulphuric acid inside the battery is poisonous and may cause burns. It is therefore
important to work in a well-ventilated area with necessary protective equipment for the face and skin; do
not light flames nearby and keep children away.
Proceed as follows only if you are well aware of your actions.
