6.1 Prior to installation
Prior to installation observe the following
points:
○
Remove packaging material and closure
plug, if any
○
Install the metering device at a suitable
place following the lubrication plan
○
Mount the metering device together with
the indicator pin in such way that the in-
dicator pin is easily visible
6.2 Place of installation
Install the product protected against humid-
ity and vibration and easily accessible to en-
sure all other installations can be carried out
without any problem.
6.3 Prerequisites for the correct functio-
ning of the metering devices
The following points must be observed dur-
ing installation to ensure correct functioning
and a trouble-free operation.
○
The metering devices must be configured
and mounted correctly
○
All lubrication lines must be routed and
mounted to the metering device correctly
○
Each open outlet on the metering device
must be secured by a suitable check
valve.
○
Metering devices with emergency lubri-
cation fitting
(SSV-E, SSVD-E) must additionally be
secured at the inlet by a suitable check
valve, as otherwise in case of an emer-
gency lubrication (e.g. in case of a defec-
tive lubrication pump) the lubricant would
first flow towards the lubrication pump
due to the pressure conditions.
○
Use adequate lubricant without contami-
nations only
○
There must not be present any blockage
in the progressive lubrication system or in
the lubrication points
○
Adhere to the stated tightening torques.
○
In case of attached electrical components
also observe the relevant IP types of
protection
○
A correct electrical function monitoring
requires an adequate processing of the
signal by a lubrication pump with control
PCB or by an external control unit.
○
The minimum operating pressure must
be reached
○
The maximum differential pressure must
not be exceeded
