11 • CLEANING
• Clean and rinse your pressure cooker immediately after each use.
• Your pressure cooker should be cleaned with hot water with a little washing-up liquid.
The body is dishwasher-safe but the lid must never go in the dishwasher.
• Wash the gasket in hot water only (do not use any detergent) (fig. 12)
• Wipe your pressure cooker dry after washing it to avoid water spots.
• Do not use a metal scouring pad. If needed, the inside of the body can be cleaned with
a scouring sponge or scouring powder. These abrasive products should never be used
on the shiny outer surfaces.
• If food has stuck to the bottom, fill the body with hot water and washing-up liquid and
leave to soak before cleaning.
• Never use bleach or chlorinated products that can irreparably damage stainless steel.
• Avoid leaving you pressure cooker closed when not in use. Store it with the lid up-
side-down on the body to avoid gasket sag and premature wear.

Before cooking: slowly open the lid by turning it clockwise and pressing firmly downwards to release the locking mechanism.
After cooking: if the pressure cooker is under pressure, release the pressure following the instructions in paragraph 8.
I can’t close my pressure cooker.
• Make sure the gasket is properly in place. • Press down on the lid then turn the locking handle anticlockwise until it
clicks). Never force the lid closed. It should close effortlessly when you press down properly on the lid.

the regulator is properly in place. • Make sure the gasket is properly in place. • If the gasket is worn, replace it. • Make sure the lid is
properly closed and that the indicator including safety is free to move up.
Steam escapes round the lid.
• Check that the gasket is properly in place. • If necessary clean the gasket, its housing, and the rim of the body. • If the
problem persists, replace your gasket or contact our service centre. Check that the lid is properly closed and that the

• Turn off the heat straight away. • Trickle cold water on your pressure cooker for at least 1 minute to cool it down. • Take off the
regulator. • Open the pressure cooker and clean the regulator and its seating, tube and holes, as well as the protective filter. • Try

• They are caused by limescale. Clean with a scouring pad with a little diluted vinegar.
