Reasons for Drying Problems DAC Professional
Operators fault
Faults on the autoclave
unperforated trays/Container
The Vacuumpump is insufficient (Check the Sterilisation Reports, Evacuation time
DAC Professional ca.2min...3,5 min.
Bad load: flat layed pouches/packs
better: staple like files/up standing
Cooler blocked (DAC Professional, dusty, the autoclave is too close to the wall or
placed in a to narrow cabinet)
internal blockage (by instrument oils!) as a result the vacuum pump has no max.
performance!
Load Basic for Autoclaves:„Condensate must flow away from the load“
pressure release is blocked or any resistant against the release
-small instruments are fallen into the backward chamber fitting, condensate return hose
(between chamber-steam generator) (Vacuklav’s) or chamber-T-pice on the pressure
release filter(Euroklav’s)
Assemblement of the condensate-Return-Filter
additionally recommended!
-Blockage of the pressure release filter
-drainage hose bent, too long, loop, etc.
-autoclave internal hoses bent, twisted
Please check the way of pressure release from the chamber into the most
outside point of the system (siphon)!
Blockage of the back chamber fitting by falling down instruments or packs
(blockage of the pressure release)
Capillary switch water level(niveau) defective (on the steamgenerator/tube heating) or
the steam generator heating has a poor thermic contact to the boiler itselfe, this means
a bad heat-transmission to the water and additional water supply on NO DEMAND
(check the water level in the steamgenerator and bot capillary switch, see working
instruction error 34/36)
Cold start and full. heavy load
Automatic pre-heating is switched off (specially important: for over-night
sterilisation)
Check the cooling water quantity per minute (double valve cooling water Output 3 and
9)
Over load
Preheating defective / Electronic board Output Preheating defective, no Voltage
Quick Program started but wrapped instruments loaded
Fantilator DAC Professional defective
For DAC Professional NO TRAYPAPER should be used
When clothes as packing material are in use, clothes as small as possible and
pack a single layer from it
Program interrupt before the end of the drying
Program interrupt before the pressure has been raised
Light load should be placed on the top tray, heavy load below
Mistakes at the installation of the Autoclave
Horizontal placement (condensate cannot flow out) Take care for the
backward slope!
Drain hose too long, siphon not below the autoclave, drain goes not
downward (loops)
Siphon blockage(Grubber valve sticky)
