How does Mosquito & Insect Free 100 IPX4
™
work?
Cathes mosquitos and insects using an advanced
lure system with light. When the insects close in on the unit they are pulled in to a canister at the bottom. The
airstream will dry out and kill the insects shortly.
How should Mosquito & Insect Free 100 IPX4
™
be placed?
It’s classified to be used in dry rooms.
Ultraviolet light is more efficient in the dark. Place the insect cathcer in a proper distance from other light
sources and avoid strong daylight since it will diminish the lure effect dramatically. Strong wind also diminish
the lure effect. Ensure that there are no objects close to the unit so the light can spread freely.
How should Mosquito & Insect Free 100 IPX4
™
be mounted?
Use the supplied wall bracket to place
the insect cather permanently properly, and together with the light sensor you will have a automatic and
trouble free insect control.
Does Mosquito & Insect Free 100 IPX4
™
withstand rain?
It’s rain proof with IPX4 eletric safety
classification for outdoor use.
How is Mosquito & Insect Free 100 IPX4
™
activated?
Check that the catchment canister is properly
secured. Plug in to a safety grounded socket. Set the power switch to ”ON”. The lamp will light up and the
insect cather is now ready to collect mosquitos and insects.
How is the light sensor used?
Set the power switch to ”AUTO”. The insect cather will now start
automatically at dusk and shut off at dawn when the light becomes stronger.
How is the catchment canister emptied ?
ALWAYS BEGIN BY UNPLUGGING THE UNIT. Then turn
the canister until it comes off the unit. Remove the net strainer by pulling it upwards. Brush it free from dead
insects by using a small brush. Clean the aluminium net carefully to prevent it from stopping the airstream.
Clean other surfaces with a cloth.
How is the lamp replaced?
ALWAYS BEGIN BY UNPLUGGING THE UNIT. Then remove the catchment
canister. Unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom of the fan unit and carefully loosen it. Be sure not to damage
the cables or stretch them. Loosen the screw to the metal plate that holds the lamp in place. Remove the
lamp and replace it with a new. Assemble the metal plate with the screw. Assemble the fan unit and screw it
tight with the 4 screws. When the catchment canister is back in place the unit is ready to use again.
Which lamp is used?
The insect catcher uses a special 365 nm UVA lamp, article number R25926, use
only this lamp. For information contact your closest reseller.
How often should the lamp be replaced?
The lamp has a total life cycle of approx. 4.000 hours, but
already after 3.000 hours the UVA-radiation is reduced which affects the efficiency. If there is a sparkling
glow from the lamp it should also be replaced immediately. To ensure the efficiency and reduce the energy
consumption, the lamp should be replaced in an early stage.
