Unpacking Your Tool

•   Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all

its features and functions

•      Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If

any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this tool

Air supply connection

•  This tool is supplied with a ¼" Bayonet Quick Connector (2) fitted. Air

lines fitted with matching ¼" connectors are a push fit

•  Do not allow supply pressure to exceed the maximum stated in the

specifications (above)

•  Ensure that condensate is drained from air system daily
•  Ensure that all parts of the system (hoses, couplers, etc) are correctly

rated for the air pressure to be used

Preparation

•  Before using this tool for the first time and before each use, pour 4-5

drops/1.5ml of 30w non-detergent oil into the Air Inlet (2)

•  Do not use detergent oils, oil additives or air tool oils; air tool oils may

contain solvents which will damage the tool’s internal components

•  After adding oil run the machine briefly. Wipe off any excess oil from the

Cap Exhaust (4)

Operation

1. Connect the tool to the air supply
2. Load fastener into the Guide Bush (3)
3. Hold tool in your palm with nose pointed towards the work surface
4. Align fastener and tool in location where fastener is to be driven
5. Push gently against nail head to drive fastener
6. Continue to apply pressure until fastener is driven completely or until

reaching desired penetration

Operating notes

•  Do not drive fasteners close to the edge of material. The workpiece may

split, causing the fastener to ricochet, with consequent risk of personal
injury

•  Disconnect tool from air supply if moving to new location. Do not carry

the tool connected to the air supply; accidental discharge could result

•  During normal use, the tool will recoil immediately after driving a

fastener. This is a normal function of the tool. Do not attempt to prevent
the recoil by holding the tool against the work. Grip the handle firmly and
let the tool do the work

•  Do not drive fasteners on top of other fasteners or with the tool at an

overly steep angle as this may cause deflection of fasteners, with risk of
personal injury

•  Do not activate the tool unless you intend to drive a fastener

Maintenance

•  Disconnect the machine from the air supply before carrying out any

maintenance or cleaning

•  Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal

parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life

•  Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth
•  After each use, pour approx  4-5drops/1.5ml of 30w non-detergent oil

into the Air Inlet (2)

•  If the tool stops working, or only works intermittently, pour approx 1.5ml

of non-detergent oil into the Air Inlet (2), and connect to air supply.
Operate the tool in short bursts. If this does not free the tool mechanism,
have the tool serviced at an authorised service centre
