Please avoid pounding hard-edged metal kitchen utensils on chrome
pouring rim as this can result in damage to the rim.
•
Dry cookware well before storing.
•
Discoloring and water spots can be removed by heating up vinegar in
the cookware. Discoloring resulting from inadvertently heating up
pans when empty, for example, can be removed with Silit detergent.
•
Because the lids fit so well, it can happen that a vacuum forms when
the pot cools down. In this case heat up briefly until it is possible to
remove lid.
•
If Silit cookware is cleaned in the dishwasher, it is possible that pla-
stic handles become discolored in the course of time. This has no
influence on their functionality, however.
•
Never rinse off glass lids with cold water or place on a cold surface.
Otherwise they might break!
•
If the glass lid shows signs of mechanical damage due to handling in
the home, e.g. caused by dropping on the floor or hard bumps or
impacts, it should be replaced.
