Prepare the Cabinet
The following procedure describes how to safely shutdown the 400T/TX in preparation for
servicing the system.
1. Have the customer stop all I/O to the VTL server being serviced.
2. Using the PSM-KVM GUI, open the VTL Console and connect to the VTL being serviced.
3. Log in and move tapes to the slots.
4. Get X-RAY and move to the PSM.
5. Save the VTL configuration to the PSM.
6. Execute the "Halt" command.
7. Using the PSM-KVM, bring up a browser and, using the BMC interface, connect to VTL
server being serviced.
8. If the server is at a CLI prompt, use the BMC to power off the server.

Replacing the HBAs
To replace the HBAs:
1. At the back of the cabinet, remove the I/O Panel and set aside.
