8.1 Safety instructions
General
WARNING
Danger of poisoning by escaping gas
Tighten all union nuts on the gas connection glands with a suitable open-ended wrench (width
across flats 14 mm). In the process, make sure that you counter properly. Otherwise, there
is a danger that the gas path will leak.
WARNING
Improper commissioning in hazardous areas
Device failure or danger of explosion in hazardous areas.
● Do not commission the device until it has been mounted completely and connected in
accordance with the information in Chapter →Technical specifications of field device
(Page 88).
● Before commissioning take the effect on other devices in the system into account.
WARNING
Commissioning and operation with error message
If an error message is displayed, correct operation in the process is no longer guaranteed.
● Check the importance of the error.
● Correct the error.
● If the error continues to exist:
– Take the device out of operation.
– Prevent new commissioning.
WARNING
Dangerous voltages in the field device
Danger of injury through dangerous contact voltage when the device is open or not completely
closed.
The degree of protection specified on the nameplate or in Chapter →Technical specifications
of field device (Page 88) is no longer guaranteed if the device is open or not closed correctly.
● Make sure that the device is securely closed.
