Procedure for connecting
Note
Strain relief of the connecting cables
Make sure that the strain relief of the cable gland is not overloaded. Make sure that the
connecting cables are force-free.
If necessary, install an external strain relief.
1. Open the left cover of the field control unit.
2. Open the cable gland using suitable tools.
3. Guide the connecting cables through the corresponding cable glands.
– Make sure in the enclosure that the cables are routed tidily and force-free.
– Use the clips provided in the enclosure.
4. Slide the stripped cable with the folded back shielding into the slot underneath the connector
panel.
5. Close the terminal over the cable.
6. Connect the individual cores of the network cable to the corresponding terminals of the
connector panel.
7. Close the cable gland.
8. Close all open covers of the field control unit.
