Inserting the certificate at the client with SINUMERIK Operate
If you operate your SINUMERIK controller in local mode, insert the root certificate into the
"cacerts.pem" file.
Directory
Depending on which operating system you are using, you will find the "cacerts.pem" file in the
following directories:

Windows XP F:\hmisl\user\sinumerik\hmi\cfg
Windows 7 (32 bit) Windows 7 (32 Bit) C:\Program Files\Siemens\MotionControl\user\sinumerik\hmi\cfg
Windows 7 (64 bit) Windows 7 (64 Bit) C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\MotionControl\user\sinumerik\hmi\cfg
Linux
Linux card/user/sinumerik/hmi/cfg
Procedure
1. Copy the content of the root certificate.
2. Navigate to the corresponding directory.
3. Check whether there is a file named "cacerts.pem".
– If the file exists, open the file with the text editor.
Append the content of the root certificate to the end of the file.
- OR -
– If the file is not present, copy the root certificate.
Insert the copy into the relevant directory and rename the file to "cacerts.pem".
