Overview 

The SIMOTICS M-1PH1 main motors, referred to as 1PH1 motors in the following, are used for 

the machine tool business with the SINUMERIK 808D ADVANCED control system coupled with 

the high performance SINAMICS V70 spindle drives or the SIMATIC control system coupled 

with the SINAMICS G120 converters. 
The motors are provided with the following mechanical properties: 
• Asynchronous variant
• Forced ventilation
• Shaft heights 100 mm and 132 mm
Thanks to the flexible interplay between the converter and the motor, it is now even easier to 

implement the following applications: 
• Extreme duty cycle
• Short rise time
• High precision with respect to the speed, torque and positioning
