Introduction
Overview
This chapter presents the safety-related communication options in S7 Distributed Safety and
S7 F/FH Systems and presents the similarities and differences between the two F-systems.
Additional Information
Communication can take place between standard user programs exactly the same as in
standard S7-300 and S7-400 automation systems and is not presented in this chapter. You
will find a description in the
STEP 7 manuals and in the hardware manuals for each CPU.
The user employs fail-safe blocks to some extent for safety-related communication. F-blocks
and their handling are described in detail in the following references:
