Installing Drivers under Windows 98
In order to add or change the device driver of any hardware component proceed as
follows:
Procedure
S
Click “Start”, point to “Settings”, click “Control Panel” , then double-click
“System” .
S
Click the “Device Manager” tab, click on the plus sign next to the hardware type
and then double-click on the selected hardware component.
S
Click the “Driver” tab and then click “Update Driver”, then follow the instructions
that appear on your screen.
S
The “Driver” tab may not be available for some devices. In this case try to
change the driver by double-clicking on the desired harware icon in “Control
panel”.
Installing Sound Drivers
During setup Windows 98 detects the sound device installed. If Windows 98 does
not recognize the existing driver for this device, proceed as follows:
S
Insert the CD “Backup PG720/740” in the CD-ROM drive.
S
At the command promt
copy manufacturer’s files from
type
\DRIVERS\PG740P3\AUDIO.W98 and
S
press “OK”. The recognized Sound system is displayed.
S
Confirm with “Finish”.
