Drives
The PG 740 PIII is standardly equipped with a LS120 drive, a 3.5 in. hard disk
drive and a CD-ROM drive.
Hard Disk Drive
Whenever the hard disk is accessed, the access LED on the front of the unit lights
up.

Caution
Risk of loss of data and damage to the drive!
Drives are sensitive to vibrations and shock. Any vibrations occurring during
operation can lead to the loss of data or damage to the drive.
If you intend transporting the unit, switch it off, and wait until the drive has come to
rest (about 20 seconds) before you move it.
LS120 Drive
The LS120 drive is compatible with previous 3.5”-disk drives. It also offers the
possibility of using storage media with a capacity of 120 Mbytes. With the LS120
drive, you can save programs and data on diskettes and load data to the
PG 740 PIII.

The PC recognizes the disk type by the coding. Superdisks can only be used in a
LS120 drive.
