Notes on the CE Symbol
The following applies to the SIMATIC product described in this operating
instruction:
EMC Directive
This product fulfils the requirements for the EC directive 89/336/EEC on
“electromagnetic compatibility” and the following fields of application apply
according to this CE symbol:

In its basic configuration the device has a medium power consumption of
< 65 W and, in this configuration, fulfills the requirements for residential areas
(class B) according to the EN 61000-3-2 standard (harmonic currents).
If the device configuration is expanded with additional modules, a medium
power consumption of 75 W may be exceeded. The device may then cause
disturbances which are not permitted for residential areas. If the device with
expanded configuration is intented for residential areas (secondary distribution
network), it is the operator’s own responsibility to make sure that no
disturbances are caused.
Low Voltage Directive
This product fulfils the requirements for the EC directive 73/23/EEC on
“low voltage” and was tested to EN60950.
Declaration of Conformity
The EC declarations of conformity and the documentation relating to this are
available to the authorities concerned, according to the above EC directive,
Article 10 (1), from:
