WARNING
Permitted modes must be part of the risk assessment of a fail-safe automation system.
If the modes, e.g. "setup mode" and "automatic mode", are not taken into account in the
risk assessment, adequate protection against possible dangers is not guaranteed.
Death or serious bodily injury can result.
For every fail-safe automation system, the permitted modes must be part of the risk
assessment.
The responsibility for performing the risk assessment lies with the operator of the plant.
WARNING
The Sm@rtServer function must be taken into account in the risk assessment of a fail-safe
automation system.
If the use of the Sm@rtServer is not taken into account in the risk assessment, adequate
protection against possible dangers is not guaranteed.
Death or serious bodily injury can result.
For every fail-safe automation system it is necessary to perform a risk assessment taking

is used later in an existing system.
The responsibility for performing the risk assessment lies with the operator of the plant.
