Restoring the Initial Configuration
The SIMATIC Embedded PC product release includes a restore CD without license key that
you can use to restore your system to the initial configuration.
NOTICE
Restoring from the restore CD removes any applications or data files stored on the
Microbox 427B or Panel PC 477B. A restore also eradicates license keys and reloads the
registry with initial values. A restore also clears all WinAC RTX load memory and retentive
data from the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX or Panel PC 477B-HMI/RTX.
You can restore from a custom restore CD that includes all of your files and registry
settings, as described in the topic " Creating a System Image (Page 48) ". Otherwise, the
restore CD included with the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX or Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -
HMI/RTX restores the system to the initial configuration.
