2.2 Configuring the Windows Ethernet Interface

To specify the Ethernet address for the interface used with SIMATIC communication, follow
these steps:
1.
Open the Windows control panel.
2.
From the control panel, open: Network Connections > Local Area Network
3.
Click the Properties button on the "Local Area Connection Status" dialog.
4.
Scroll to and double-click the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" connection from the list.
5.
On the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" dialog, select the button for "Use the
following IP address," and enter the required IP address and subnet mask (the default
values are "192.168.1.2" for the field "IP address" and "255.255.255.0" for the field
"Subnet mask"):

Click OK on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" and "Local Area Connection
Properties" dialog, and close the remaining dialogs.
