When a light localizer is used to define the X-ray field, it shall provide an average illumina-
tion of not less than 180 lux at 100 centimeters. The average illumination shall be based
upon measurements made in the approximate center of each quadrant of the light field
(Fig. 4).
If the illumination is less than 180 lux, check the lamp supply. Refer to wiring diagram
X037E, page 180.

Load a 35 x 35 cm (14" x 14") cassette with film.
•
Put the cassette on a table or a similar surface.
