Operating the answer
machine of the
Gigaset SX675 isdn
base station
You can operate the answer machine that
is integrated into the base station using
the keys on the base station (see page 2),
via the handset or by remote control
(other phone/mobile phone). Your own
announcement message or advisory mes-
sage can only be recorded via the handset.
Announcement mode
You can use the answer machine in two
different modes.
u
In
Ans. & Record
mode, the caller hears
the announcement and can then leave
a message.
u
In
Announce Only
mode, the caller hears
your announcement but cannot leave a
message.
Operation via the handset
The handset loudspeaker activates
auto-
matically
if you receive an acoustic
prompt or message while operating. You
can switch it off with the handsfree key

.
If the handset and answer machine share
an MSN, the handset can
u
make answer machine settings via the
answer machine menu,
u
access all answer machine messages
(including messages from external
MSNs).
You can assign multiple receive MSNs to
the answer machine. By default, all MSNs
are assigned to the answer machine.

Please note:
If none of the handsets share an MSN with
the answer machine, the answer machine
list (page 31) is not displayed on any
handset. You can only listen to messages
at the base station. In this case, you can
make answer machine settings via the
answer machine menu on all handsets.

When you switch the answer machine on,
the remaining memory time is
announced. If the time has not yet been
set (page 10), an appropriate announce-
ment is made. The

The phone is supplied with pre-recorded
announcements for answer and record
mode and for announce only mode. If a
personal announcement has not been
recorded, the relevant pre-recorded
announcement is used.
