A detailed view of the gear unit can be obtained from the drawings in the gearunit documentation.
5.3
Toothed components
The toothed components of the gear unit are casehardened. The bevelgear teeth are ground or lapped.
The high quality of the teeth leads to a significant noise reduction and ensures safe and reliable running.
The bevel-gear wheel is joined to the shaft by interference fit and parallel key. This type of joint transmits
with adequate reliability the torque generated.
5.4
Lubrication
5.4.1
Splash lubrication
Unless otherwise agreed in the order, the teeth and bearings are adequately splashlubricated with oil. The
gear unit thus requires very little maintenance.
