Electrical installation
The AMS 50 is not suitable for supplying units with integrated heater (max. current
output 0.75 A).
Connector cover (accessory)
The optional connector cover no. 2 016 130 can be mounted on each unit to provide the
ISD system with enclosure rating IP 65 (
Fig. 10-3, Page 53
):
Ø
Insert the connection cable(s) through the screwed glands (
∅
3.5 ... 8 mm). Solder the
wire ends to the corresponding D Sub insert (pin contact strip (connector)).
See
Table 5-10, Page 35
for the pin assignments. Tighten the insert securely.
If only one cable inlet is required, remove the other screwed gland and screw in the blind
cover with sealing ring insead.
Ø
Mount the connector cover on the unit and tighten it securely.
5.2.6
Connecting the data interface
The data interface is configured (interface type and data transfer rate) as described in
Chapter 5.2.3, Page 33.
Table 5-12, Page 38
provides the circuit diagrams for the various
interface types.
Damage to the interface module!
The interface modules in the unit may be damaged if the data interface is wired incorrectly.
Ø
Connect the data interface correctly in accordance with
Table 5-12
.
Ø
Check the wiring before switching on the unit.
1.
Connect the data interface EMC-compatibly to the host by means of shielded cables.
Observe the maximum cable lengths (see
Table 5-11, Page 36
).
2.
Apply the shield on both sides.
