HOOD LATCH
As viewed from the front of tractor:
1. To raise the hood, insert the thin stick such
as screwdriver, in the hole that located under
the front of right side of hood and push up the
latch release rod

, and lift the hood to its
fully raised position. A hood prop rod
②
holds the hood in the fully raised position.
WARNING
Make sure hood prop rod ② is fully engaged
in the latched position, before servicing any
components that are located under the hood.
2. To close, lift hood until prop rod
② is not
holding weight of hood, then pull forward on
prop rod and then lower hood until it is
retained by the latch mechanism.
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to lower the hood
without moving the support link. Attempting to
force the hood down can result in bending or
breaking of the hood and support linkage.
NOTE: Keep the latch mechanism free of dirt
and debris, so the latch will operate properly.
