To drain rear brake fluid:
- Remove the cover from the tank (see previous
section).
- Remove the black protective cap .
- Press on the rear brake handle without
releasing it.
- Slightly loosen the protected device with
the black drain cap located next to the hose
attachment.
- Repeat the operation several times until the air
is drained from the circuit.
- Place the black protective cap .
- Put the seal and lid back on the tank.
Purging the rear brake fluid
Place a rag under the drainer to collect the fluid.
Brake fluid is highly corrosive. All leftover fluid in contact with motorcycle parts must be eliminated.
