Combining Inset Still Images
Tape Recording mode

Insert the recorded SmartMedia card in
the camcorder.

Set the camcorder to Tape Recording
mode, and then press the MENU/
DISPLAY button until the menu screen
appears.

Turn the SET-PUSH dial (
Q
) to select
“COMPOSITE”, and then press the dial
(
W
) to display the composite picture
selection screen.

Turn the SET-PUSH dial (
Q
) to select
“P-IN-P”, and then press the dial (
W
) to
display a thumbnail of the images
recorded on the SmartMedia card.

Press the
B
(Next Image Selection) or
C
(Previous Image Selection) button to
move the selection frame to the desired
image.
• To display a thumbnail of the next (or
previous) 6 images, move the selection
frame to the image at the bottom right (or
top left), and press the
B
(or
C
)
button.

Press the REC START/STOP button at
the point where you want to begin
recording.
• The subject is recorded with the inset still
image.
Card Recording mode

Perform step 1 above.

Set the camcorder to Card Recording
mode, and then press the MENU/
DISPLAY button until the menu screen
appears.

Perform steps 3 to 6 above.

Press the STILL button to capture the
subject with the inset still image.

Press the REC START/STOP button to
begin recording.
To delete the inset still image
Press the SET-PUSH dial.

Press the
(Set) button.
• The selected still image is displayed
inside the inset window.
