Remaining Recording Time
Display

When the camcorder is recording in Tape
Recording mode, an on-screen indicator
displays the approximate remaining tape time
in minutes.

During tape recording, press the MENU/
DISPLAY button until the remaining recording
time indicator appears.

Remaining Battery Power
Display

To turn off the indicator, press the MENU/
DISPLAY button again.

Notes:

•

The remaining recording time indicator
appears 20 seconds after pressing the REC
START/STOP button to begin recording.

• The remaining recording time indicator only

shows the approximate time left. Also, it varies
slightly depending on the length of tape used.
(This function’s design is based on the DVM60
tape standard.)

When the remaining recording time reaches 1
minute, a warning indicator will appear. Prepare
a new cassette.

Notes:
• The remaining operating time is displayed about

30 to 60 seconds after setting the Power switch
to CAMERA or VCR.

• Use the remaining battery power indicator only as

an approximate indication.

• Variations in the operational status of the camcorder

can greatly reduce or increase the remaining
operating time displayed.

• Use of the zoom functions when the warning

indicator is displayed may cause the camcorder to
suddenly lose power.

• When using the optional BT-L221 or BT-L441 battery

packs which are not compatible with the intelligent
battery function, only the following indicator will be
displayed.

Press the MENU/DISPLAY button until the
remaining battery power indicator appears.

This camcorder supports an intelligent battery
function. Use of the supplied intelligent battery
pack allows the number of minutes of
continuous operating time that remains to be
displayed on the screen based on the
remaining battery power.

When the remaining operating time reaches 5
minutes, a warning indicator will appear.
Replace the battery pack.
