Preparing the Unit for the Electrical Contractor and Alarm
Technician

To prepare the unit for the electrical contractor:

With the curtain in the housing, use the door key to pull the door open.

Turn the power OFF inside the housing.

Disconnect the battery.

Disconnect the diode and return it to the junction box.

Leave the Wiring Guide for the electrical contractor.

Setting the unit in a ready state

When the electrical contractor has wired the diode at the smoke detector (or other
initiating device) and wired the unit to building power:

Use the door key to pull the door open.

Turn the power ON inside the housing.

Connect the battery.
