Manual
SBL10
36 / 69
Version 1.27
If you do not wish to use a GPS, then go to "Port" and select "deactivate". Line measurements and
referencing will then be deactivated in the menus.
For line measurements, it is strongly recommended to work with a cable connection
instead of a Bluetooth connection to connect SBL10 and PDA. Otherwise two Bluetooth
connections (GPS and external probe) might be used in parallel which risks to cause
delays in data transfer. This could cause an offset which cannot be corrected afterward.
Specific device configurations
1. The optional GPS connection can be established via Bluetooth only. It is thus strongly
recommended to use a connector cable for the external probe when working with a GPS at the
same time.
2. In case the PDA is connected to the SBL10 unit via connector cable, then it is not possible to
connect a hand signal button, because the required serial port is already used by the PDA. In
this case, the touchscreen of the PDA is used to start and stop the measurement.
