NTP
The
NTP
option allows configuration to update and automatically synchronize
the date and time using network time protocol in your local area networking.
To set up NTP, place a check mark to enable, input the server IP name/IP, the
server port number, initial time zone, and how periodically you want NTP to
update the date/time in minute. Click OK to confirm set up or click CANCEL to
cancel.
For example:
you will need two computers, one computer to enable NTP
service and the second computer running CMS software.
1) To enable NTP service on computer #1 (or server PC), go to Control
panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Scroll to the bottom of services and
double click on “Windows Time”. In Windows Time, select “Automatic” in the
“Startup type:” section and finally click “Apply” and “OK” to save the setting as
shown below. Jot down the IP address of computer #1 to be inputted in to the
“Server IP” section of the NTP Netservice.
