Double-click the icon of the new connection. A window containing dial information opens. Enter root as user
name and the serial number from the bottom of the packaging as password (or your own password if you have
changed the default password). Click Dial. The user name and the password are the same as for web access. You
can change these later following installation.
Note that letters in the serial number must be entered in uppercase. E.g., enter
A
, not
a
.
After creating the connection, go to the next section.
Access to video server
Via the direct connection using the null modem cable, the administrator can open the default web browser. Enter
http://200.1.1.1 as address. Note that 200.1.1.1 is used as the default IP address for a communications
connection, and 200.1.1.100 is defined as the IP address for the user’s PC. The user name and the password are
those entered during installation.
If your authentication is successful, you see video pictures on the main page. In the Microsoft Internet Explorer,
permit a plug-in for the video server to enable additional installations. For security reasons, change your password
now on the System page of the configuration. Following a password change, the browser displays the
authentication window and asks for the new password. Note that this new password is also used for the next dial-in.
