The video server acts not only as server but also activates the connection to external servers in order to transfer
messages or snapshots. Following a reboot of the video server, a system log is sent to notify the administrator. Even
if a modem is used, the video server sends a connection log when it dials the number of an ISP or an external
server. If the administrator has configured his/her own applications either in event-controlled or sequential mode,
the video server sends the snapshots after satisfying the conditions defined. Two file transfer methods are available,
e-mail (SMTP) and FTP.
SMTP
Domain name or IP address of the external e-mail server.
Some SMTP servers require an account name for logging in. For detailed information,
ask your administrator.
Password for the SMTP server account.
E-mail address of recipients of snapshots or of the log file. Two or more recipient
names must be separated by semicolons (;).
Domain name or IP address of another e-mail server (backup) if the first server cannot be
reached.
The account login name for the second SMTP server.
Password for the SMTP account name.
E-mail address of recipient for a second e-mail server.
The return e-mail address if e-mails cannot be sent.
