Starting an oral/axillary temperature measurement
1. Remove the temperature probe (blue) from the probe holder (blue).
2. Pick up a probe cover:
a) Insert the probe in a probe cover in the pack
b) Allow the probe cover to engage audibly with the probe
c) Remove probe and probe cover from the pack
d) Ensure that the probe cover is undamaged
3. Position the temperature probe as shown in the illustration:
Measurement starts automatically.
The measured value and the symbol for the measurement procedure (in
this case: Predictive) flash until a valid measured value is obtained.
The temperature value is displayed until you stop the measurement
procedure

4. Discard the probe cover and dispose of it in line with your institution’s
policy.
