Repair #3: Cleaning the orifice (Item #47)
The orifice (Item #47) is a hexagonal spike M6 x 6 mm, which has a machined hole 2 millimeters in diameter. Water
circulates across this hole to Low pressure. If the ETD is not flushed properly, a filter is defective, or for another reason
that causes dirt to come into the machined hole of the orifice, this may partially or completely plug the orifice. This
causes malfunctioning of the ETD, which, in case of a total obstruction of the orifice, causes an instantaneous stop in
the flow of water in the interior of the ETD. This stoppage of the water flow in the interior of the pump causes a sudden
increase in feed pressure.
Necessary tools for repair : Fixed flat key 12-13, Allen Key of 5 mm, Allen Key of 3 mm, Thin wire (smaller than 2 mm
in diameter)
Procedure to clean the orifice:
NOTE: Empty any feed water from the ETD
before disassembling it.

1. Repair #3 is similar to Repair #2

Perform tasks in Paragraphs #1 and 2

Repair #3: Cleaning the orifice (Item #47)
2. Remove the O-Ring of the Orifice (Item #34),
and with a 3 mm allen key, carefully unscrew the
orifice from its housing.

3. Use a thin wire smaller than 2 mm in diameter to clean the interior of the orifice until you leave the orifice free
of impurities. There cannot be any impurities or dust in the orifice housing. If there are any impurities or dust,
clean the orifice, otherwise it will plug up.
Mount the orifice in the housing.
Mount the O-Ring (Item #34).
Take this opportunity to inspect the condition of the sliding control panel, it is recommended to perform
Repair #2
" resurfacing the sliding control panel” , at this point.
Mount the components that were disassembled.
Mount the pump in the system and verify that it works correctly.
