Symptom
4. The High Pressure gauge
indicates a de-pressurizing
reading, the pressure varies
erratically with each cycle.

5. Water loss occurs in the ETD
during operation.
Possible Reasons
1. Loss of pressure to the
Sliding Distributor Panels
(Item #10).
2. Loss of pressure to the
Sliding Control Panel
(Item #9).
3. Loss of pressure due to
the wear of the seals.

1. Water is leaking
externally from the ETD.
2. An o-ring is dislodged or
damaged.
Check/Inspect
Visual inspection of the
sliding distributor panels.
Visual inspection of the
sliding control panel.
It is necessary to dismantle
all the o-rings and seals of
the ETD and inspect them
to verify their condition.
There may be one that is
worn or damaged.

Observe if the ETD is
leaking from a pipe fitting or
fastener.
Dismantle the worn or
damaged item where water
loss has been noted and
inspect if there is a o-ring
damaged or out of its seat
Solution
The seats of the Sliding Distributor
Panels of (Item #10) need to be
resurfaced as detailed in Repair #1 on
page 13 of this section.
The closing face of the Sliding Control
Panel (Item #9) needs to be resurfaced
as detailed in Repair #2 on page 16 of
this section.
The seals of the ETD are damaged and
need to be replaced, proceed as
detailed in Repair #4 on page 20 of
this section.

1. Remove the item leaking
2. Clean the surfaces to remove any
dust.
3. Apply Loctite 542 in the thread that
needs to be sealed
4. Reconnect the item and allow the
sealer to dry.
Change or replace the o-ring.
