
Short-term Shutdown Procedure
Short-term shutdown is defined as a period of up to four (4) weeks, in which the System is not being used. To
effectively protect the System and RO Membrane Element(s) during the short-term shutdown, you must perform
a Fresh Water Rinse (i.e., a rinse with fresh Product Water from the System). The Fresh Water Rinse prolongs
System and RO Membrane Element life by minimizing electrolysis and arresting biological growth. If your System
