2. Pull the coupling bolts [45, Fig. I] of the drive
wheels [12, Fig. I] and lock them into this posi­
tion by rotating them (90°).
The wheels are separated from the respective
wheel drive.
3. Open or close the water supply or the manual
valve [42, Fig. G] if necessary, depending on
the required water amount (empirical value).
4. Hold the machine by the guide handle [1, Fig. A].
The surface to be ground can now be machined.
The operating personnel responsible for the ma­
chine must ensure that no one can enter the
machine’s danger zone during operation!
5. Select the desired direction of rotation for the
tool with the switch [19 Fig. B].

All specifications on the direction of rotation are to
be considered as seen from above the machine.
6. The drive is on and accelerates to the speed
preset at the
Tool speed dial [18, Fig. B].
7. If necessary, adjust the tool speed to the grind­
ing conditions.
3.4 Remote control mode
3.4.1 Preparing for remote control mode
The machine was put into operation properly
(

1. If necessary, swivel the guide bar [2, Fig. L]
over the machine (

Chapter 3.1.1 ‐ page 23).
2. If necessary, turn the coupling bolts [45, Fig. I]
of the drive wheels [12, Fig. I] until they lock into
position (90°).
The wheels are coupled to the respective wheel
drives.
3. Open or close the water supply or the manual
valve [42, Fig. G] if necessary, depending on
the required water amount (empirical value).
4. Switch off the remote control:
Press the
Remote control ON/OFF switch
[32, Fig. D].
5. With the belt, strap the remote control unit
around your hips [

3.4.2 Remote control unit
The remote control unit is switched off automati­
cally 20 minutes after the last time it was actu­
ated.
Display window
The display [26, Fig. D] of the remote control unit
shows the following:
[26u] Connection scan / Signal strength
[26v] Radio channel
[26w] Battery charge (remote control unit)
[26x] Driving speed (0 ... 21 m/min)
[26y] Tool speed (400 ... 1200 rpm)
To reduce battery use, the display is switched
off after a certain time.
To switch on the display:
— Move the switch [24] to the
Connection
scan setting (repeat to change the bright­
ness).
Changing the battery
If the battery charge indicator [26w] shows only one
dark field , the batteries in the remote control unit
should be exchanged.
1.
Open the battery compartment [35, Fig. D] on
the side.
2. Remove and dispose of batteries according to
regulations.
3. Insert the new batteries (type AA).
Make sure polarity (+/
–
) is correct!
4. Replace battery compartment lid.
3.4.3 Remote control of the machine
The following numbers refer to the remote con­
