5. Relax the cable drum by pushing the small black lever clockwise (arrow
-fig. 6). Hook the cable into the cable drum as well as into the support
bracket (black metal bracket - fig. 6).
6. Check the adjustment of the gear hub. Therefore shift to the 4th gear
(Alfine 8) or 6th gear (Alfine 11) and turn the adjustment knob (fig.
10) at the shifter until the two yellow lines align (fig. 9). Shift through
all gears and check alignment again. If the deflection is not according
to the requirements, loosen the bolts and adjust the belt tension again.
Make sure that the rear wheel is centered between the chain stays.
7. Tighten the M6 hub bolts with correct torque (page 42).
Make sure to carry out each of these steps with the
utmost care and diligence. If you are not completely
sure as to the quality of your own work, please do not

Close the brake quick release! (fig.4)
