Assembly
The
ust 2780
is already assembled to a great extent. You
only have to fasten the handles and the work piece support
as follows:
Handles and work piece supports, Fig. 2
Place the base onto the floor or a work bench such that the
legs show to the side.
Put the
ust 2780
onto the legs.
Fig. 3, 4, 5
Fasten the supporting arms to the bed by pulling the lock-
ing handle upward. Engage the arm first at the back, lower
the front side onto the bed. Then release the locking han-
dle again.
Fig. 6, 7
The work piece support can be adjusted for length and
height by means of the two clamping handles.
Use of the work piece supports in the bed centre, Fig. 8
The work piece support can also be used to support the bed
centre for handling shorter work pieces. The work piece
supports can be removed from the outer supporting rails.
Hint: An additional supporting arm is available at your
dealer.
Fitting a machine to the ust 2780, Fig. 9 – 12
Several bench machines can be fitted to your
ust 2780
by
adjusting the supporting arms.
If your machine has different hole clearances for fastening
the machine, the enclosed cross beams are to be used as
adapter.
Attach them first to the machine, then adjust the support-
ing arms to the required distance, and finally attach the
cross beams to the supporting arms.
Using you table machine as individual machine
Attention: Pull power supply plug.
After having fitted the supporting arms, your table machine
can also be used separately from the woodworking centre.
To this purpose, pull the two locking handles, lift the ma-
chine slightly at the front and push to the back. The ma-
chine can now be removed and moved.
Using the work piece stops, Fig. 13 - 15
The work piece supports have integrated work piece stops
that can be used for sawing several pieces of wood to the
same length. They are simply set to the desired length and
the stops pressed into UP position, as shown.
Plug board, Fig. 16
Your woodworking centre has an integrated switch board
for connecting all machines from a convenient position,
as shown.
Fastening facilities for table machines, Fig. 17 - 20
Several table machines can be fastened to your universal
saw table. This provides you with a complete working cen-
tre with different table machines which is sufficient for
most types of work.
Putting into operation
Adjust the supporting arms to the distance of your table
machine.
Set your table machine onto the cross beams and fasten
the machine in the holes provided to this purpose, using
9 and 10).
Doing this, place your machine to such a depth on the
base that the weight rests on the approximate centre of
the base.
You can now slide your table machine on the base bed as
required (dictated by the work piece lengths) by pressing
the two locking handles underneath the supporting arms
upward, and releasing them again after the displacement.
Adjust your table machine in line with the stop by using a
straight work piece.
Transport
For displacement within the workshop, the universal saw
table can be lifted at the transport handles by two people.
Do not pull it across the floor.
For displacement, the table machines must be put into
transport position (observe operating instructions), and the
power supply plug must be pulled.
Do not move while the machine is running.
For transport in vehicles, the machine must be removed
and the base legs folded in.
