Hard Drive Installation
1. Remove the tool-less screws on the back panel.
2. Remove the upper chassis cover backwards and lift it upwards.

• Power ON/OFF: Switch the power button located in the back to power on/off.

3. Open the front panel and install the HDDs from the top to the bottom.
4. Fasten the tool-less screws to secure the hard drives.
5. Close the front panel and the chassis cover, and fasten the tool-less screws on the
back panel.

Installing the PCIe Adapter Card to a Computer

Select “Manual Setup (Recommended
Selection)”, specify driver search from
CD-Rom.
Step 3
From your desktop, point the cursor at “My
Computer”, right click and select
“Manage”.
Right click on “Mass Storage Controller” and
select “Update Driver”.
Select the driver and begin installation
process. After SATA card installation is
completed, it will be ready for use.
Step 2
Unplug AC power from computer before installation.
Insert the PCIe Card into an available PCIe slot (x1 / x4 / x8 / x16) on
your computer (Step 1) and secure with screw (Step 2). Both PCIe 1.0 &
2.0 are compatible, where 2.0 provides optimal performance.
Note: Please refer to CD for driver installation.

To setup RAID mode, please insert the included CD into the computer and install the
Web GUI. Follow the installation instructions in the Detailed Manual to fully setup the
desired RAID mode.
RAID system should not be use as a substitute for your data backups. A data backup
strategy should be implemented to fully protect your data assets.
