The displayed shortcuts represent the following voltages:
Diff
Difference voltage. This is the difference between the voltages resulting
from measuring light intensity on the sample and the reference side of
the light sensor.
Summ
Sum-voltage. This is the sum of the two voltages measured on the
sample and the reference part of the light sensor.
Smpl
Sample voltage. Corresponding to the light intensity on the sample side
of the light sensor.
Rfrn
Reference voltage. Corresponding to the light intensity on the reference
side of the light sensor.
All voltages are displayed in [mV]. The value of the difference voltage can be positive or
negative while the values of the other three voltages have only positive values.
The sample voltage and the reference voltage can also be measured at two test points on
the circuit board using a multimeter.
The sum and difference voltages are calculated according to the following formulas.
Summ
= Smpl + Rfrn
Diff
= Smpl - Rfrn
