4. MOUNtiNG tHE BAR AND
CHAiN

1)
Open the box containing the chainsaw and
extract the disassembled parts and accessories
as shown in Fig.2. In the box you will find:
part.1
– Chainsaw body
part.2
– Chain guide bar
part.3
- Chain
part.4
– Combination spanner.
part 5
– Chain adjustment screwdriver.
part 6
– Bar cover.
part 7
– Instruction manual.

Position the Chainsaw body as in Fig. 3 and
make sure that the (chain) safety brake is not
ingaged (arrow Fig.3).

Unscrew the nuts (Fig.4 part.1) and remove
the chain cover.
4)
Remove the plastic or cardboard shim (fig.4
item 2) located between the chain brake cover
and the guide bar connecting plate. This shim is
provided to hold in position the chain brake cover
during transport.
therefore, it must NOt be used!
5)
Rotate the chain tensioning screw anticlockwise
(unscrew direction) (Fig.5 part.1) so that the chain
tensioning tooth retreats (Fig.5 part.2).
6)
Fit the chain around the motor pinion (behind
the clutch unit) fig.6. The top section teeth must
be pointed as shown in item X .
AttENtiON !!
Make sure to match the chain teeth
correctly with the corresponding sprocket teeth.

Position the chain guide bar on the stud bolts
(Fig.7).
8)
Insert the chain guide teeth into the groove of
the bar (Fig.8). Pull the bar in such a way as to
stretch the chain. 3).
9)
Refit the brake cover making sure the tensio
-
ner pawl fit inside the bar hole (fig.7 and fig.1
item x).
10)
Screw the nuts (fig.9) without tightening them.
Turn the chainsaw upside down to check that the
chain fits perfectly on the motor pinion with the
guide teeth engaged in the pinion.
11)
Chain tensioning: turn the chain tightener
screw clockwise (fig.10). Correctly tensioning
the chain allows it to be lifted (with 2 fingers) to
make sure that a full guide tooth is visible (fig.10
item A).
12)
Fully tighten the two nuts with the key provided
(Fig.10) keeping the point of the bar raised. Check
that the chain can run freely in the bar.
NOtE!!
The tension of a new chain must be
checked and set (with the engine off and the brake
on) after a few minutes of work.
5. REFUELLiNG
1) AttENtiON!
The equip-
ment is provided with a
2-stroke engine.
The engine requires a mixture of petrol and oil for
2-stroke engines with the following percentages.
40:1 = (2,5% oil)
PEtROL: use unleaded petrol with octane
number equal / higher than 95 Ron.
