ECEIVING A FAX

About Receive Mode
Your machine has three reception modes: Fax, Tel, and Ans/Fax.
In Fax mode - The machine answers an incoming call and
immediately goes into fax receive mode.
In Tel mode - When the incoming ringer sounds, press On Hook
Dial . If you hear a fax tone, press Start . The machine begins
receiving a fax.
In Ans/Fax mode - To use this mode, you must attach an
answering machine to the EXT. jack on the back of your
machine. The answering machine answers an incoming call, and
the caller can leave a message on the answering machine. If
your machine hears a fax tone on the line, it automatically starts
to receive the fax.
The current receive mode is displayed when the machine is in
the fax idle mode.
If you seldom use the fax line for voice conversations, set your
machine to receive a fax automatically by selecting the Fax
mode.
