Setting the Phone’s Security
You can set many security options, including locking the
phone, restricting calls, storing emergency numbers and
resetting the phone.
To set the phone’s security:
1. On the Phone screen, tap
Setting
at the bottom of the
screen and select
Security
.
You can also access this mode from the Launcher mode
by tapping
→
Phone Setup
→
Security
.
2. Enter the password by tapping the number button.
The password number is preset to “0000” at the
factory. You can change the password using
→
Password
. See page 9-3.
3. You can access the phone’s security options in the
Lock
,
Restriction
,
Emergency
, and
Reset
tabs. Tap
the tab where the option you want to set is located.
Locking the Phone
In the
Lock
tab of the Security screen, you can lock the
phone. When the phone is locked, you cannot operate it
until you enter the lock password.
You can select the lock type from:
Never
: The phone lock is disabled.
Phone Being On
: The phone is automatically locked
when the phone turns off and then back on. You must
enter the password each time you turn the phone on.
Now
: The phone is locked from now. If selected,
displays at the top left of the Phone’s screen. To make a
call or to use the phone setting options, you must enter
the password. Once you enter the password, the phone
lock is disabled.
