GWIM/GWIMT
Gigabit WAN Interface Module (GWIM/GWIMT) is a data router module allowing
communication between the WAN and LAN.
The GWIM/GWIMT can go into any universal slot in any OS7400 cabinet.
NOTE: Do NOT install the GWIM/GWIMT into an OS7200 expansion cabinet. ONE
GWIM/GWIMT can be installed per cabinet. Maximum 3 per system.
Determine whether or not the GWIM/GWIMT will use the internal OS7400 power supply or
the optional external OfficeServ 7150 PoE PSU. Refer to the OfficeServ 7150 section in this
manual to determine this. Set jumpers J1 and J2 of the GWIM/GWIMT module accordingly.
1)
To force the GWIM/GWIMT to get power from the external OfficeServ 7150 PoE unit, you
must connect shunt pins 2 and 3 for each jumper J1 and J2. Shunt pins 1 and 2 are
connected at factory default (this setting causes the PLIM to get power from the internal
OS7400 power supply).
