Send PIN
The PIN (Personal Identification Number) feature prevents your phone from being
Used by unauthorized persons. Contact your service provider for complete information
on this feature.
To set your phone to prompt for your PIN to be sent to the system
whenever a call is placed:
1. Press [MENU] to display the menu.
2. Press [0 Next] for Security and enter your current lock code.
3. Press [5 JKL] for Send PIN.
4. Choose between never or prompt.
5. Press [OK/Message] to save the choice.
Note:
Your service provider must enable this feature and
assign you a PIN in order for this feature to work.
Clear MEM
Clear M EM erases your Phone Book and Voice Dial recordings. Personal settings
(Call Logs, Mail Kit Messages, Schedules, or other phone feature settings) are
not affected by clearing memory on your phone. This feature is useful if you want
to give your phone to a friend or family member, or if you want to erase all of your
phone numbers.
To clear memory on your phone:
1. Press [MENU] to display the menu.
2. Press [0 Next] for Security and enter your current lock code.
3. Press [6 MNO] for Clear MEM . A confirmation prompt “Clear All? ” displays alerting
you that phone memory will be cleared.

Press [C] to cancel the operation.

Or, press [OK/Message] to clear the phone memory. After a few seconds, “Erased” message
displays and the phone returns to standby mode.
Reset Phone
Reset Phone reboots the phone and returns all feature and memory settings to the factory
default settings. This also erases all your Phone Book, Voice Dial recordings,
Call Logs, Mail Kit Messages, and Game Scores.
To reset your phone:
1. Press to [MENU] display the menu.
2. Press [0 Next] for Security and enter your current lock code.
3. Press [7 PQRS] for Reset Phone. A confirmation prompt displays asking if
you want to ‘Proceed?’.
4. Press [C] to cancel the operation.
5. Or, p ress [OK/Message] to reset your phone. This may take up to 20 seconds to complete.
Once complete, the phone will automatically power cycle itself and return to standby mode.
Voice Privacy
Although your conversation is securely encrypted to prevent eavesdropping when
used in digital mode, this feature extends the encryption when set to enhance mode.
To activate voice privacy:
1.
Press [MENU] to display the menu.
2. Press [0 Next] for Security and enter your current lock code.
3. Press [8 TUV] for Voice Privacy. Select ‘enhanced’ to activate or ‘standard’ to deactivate
Voice Privacy.
4. Press [C] to cancel the operation.
5. Or, p ress [OK/Message] to save the setting.
