Section 4: Calling
Displaying Your Phone Number
•
From the Home screen, press and then press
Menu ➔ Settings ➔ More ➔ About device
➔ Status . Your phone number displays in the My phone
number field.
Making a Call
1. From the Home screen, touch Phone .
2. Touch the digits of the telephone number on the
Keypad .
3. Touch to place the call.
Emergency Calls
If you do not have a SIM card installed the first time you turn
on the phone, the Insert SIM card to make calls message
displays and an animated tutorial shows you how to install
the SIM card.
Without a SIM card, you can only make an emergency call
with the phone; normal cell phone service is not available.
Making an Emergency Call without a SIM card
1. Touch Emergency call from the on-screen display to
make an emergency call.
2. Enter 9-1-1 and touch .
International Calls
1. From the Home screen, tap and then touch and
hold until the device displays “+” on-screen.
2. Use the on-screen keypad to enter the country code,
area code, and phone number.
3. If you make a mistake, tap once to delete a
single digit.

Touch and hold to delete all digits.
4. Touch .
