Electrically testing the unit
To test each electrical component on the system you can use this mode/
function to make sure everything is electrically correct before starting the unit.
To gain access to this mode, press the right and left buttons together for 6
seconds or until the controller displays TEST (7E57).
The first thing that must be done is start the circulation pump by pressing the
power on/off button, the pump is always run in this mode.
Whilst the pump is running you will be able to see the symbol of a house with
a circle around it.
If 3011 has been set to 1 you will be able to power on and off the immersion
heater by pressing the mode button, once pressed you will see the symbol of
the tap and heater, press the mode button to turn back off.
The two port valve for heating should already be open and the one for hot
water closed, if this is not the case then the wiring will need to be checked.
To power the hot water two port, press the outing button. After doing so the
valve should open and the symbol that looks like a can will appear, pressing the
outing button will close the valve again and the symbol disappear.
If the system is providing heating and is not a hybrid, the heating valve should
already be open. The two port valve for heating is designed to be open when
the system is not running. Press the set button and this will close the heating
valve, 2-1 will appear on the screen. Press the set button again to open.
Whilst all the stats are off, the controller will show the word TEST, as soon as
you send a run signal to the board it will display HEAT1. To test this, activate
the run signal, if you turn them back down or off the screen will show TEST
again.
If these tests are being performed on a master slave setup, you can send a run
signal from the master unit to the slave by pressing the + button, if done so
a radiator symbol will appear. On the slave unit the display will change from
TEST to HEAT1, pr will switch this off.
If testing a hybrid system, the boiler operation can be tested, to do so, press
the silent button and the milk churn symbol will appear with a B in it. After 30
seconds the boiler should have fired up, pressing the silent button will turn this
off.
To exit this mode, press ESC.
