NOTE: Oversize cylindrical seal chamber is also used for Dynamic Seal arrangement.
Seal Lubrication Pressure:
Packing and mechanical seals must be lubricated with clear particle free (50 microns maximum) liquid at
a pressure sufficient to overcome the stuffing box pressure.
This can best be performed by using pressurized seal water providing up to 1/4 GPM / 1 l/min flow to the
mechanical seal or packing.
Seal water should be 5-10 psi / 0.4-0.7 bar above maximum stuffing box pressure.
