11.1.1
Un-pair an EPC and stimulator
The EPC can only be paired to one stimulator at a time. If you need to pair to a different
stimulator, you must restart Pairing mode as shown in Section 11.1.
Note: You do not need to un-pair the EPC from the stimulator it is already connected to
before pairing it with a different stimulator.
11.2
Clinical Studies – Set Treatment Arm
The patient’s treatment arm can be changed using the EPC.
1.
On the EPC, turn stimulation off and then press and hold
for more than two
seconds to enter the Set Treatment Arm mode.
2.
Check the Therapy Intensity indicators on the EPC to determine which treatment
arm was set originally:
Arm A – all indicators flash on and off.
Arm B – all indicators glow steadily.
3.
To change the treatment arm:
Press
to change to Arm A.
Press
to change to Arm B.
4.
Press
to set the treatment arm to that selected and exit the Set Treatment
Arm mode.
Note: The EPC will automatically set the treatment arm to that selected and exit the Set
Treatment Arm mode if no buttons are pressed for six seconds.

Safe Mode Error on Charger
If the patient reports that their Charger detects that the CLS is in Safe Mode (Contact
Clinician indicator lit) then the CLS cannot be charged normally.

Ask the patient to visit the clinic so that the error can be investigated and the CLS
reset out of Safe Mode.

If the CLS has a depleted battery and cannot communicate with the CI then contact
your Saluda Medical Representative to charge the CLS battery.
